    Thanks, Michael. I had glanced at it and felt I'd read related material in Alfred McCoy's book, A Question of Torture. There, McCoy has a disturbing passage on how post-WWII the US had recruited German scientists involved in Nazi physiological and psychological experiments. That is we drew directly on Nazi expertise to develop the science behind US psychological torture.

    Now that I read Sullivan more closely, I see that he goes into greater detail than I remember McCoy did about the German uses of "enhanced" techniques. It is absolutely chilling to think about McCoy and Sullivan together.
